One of the best resorts to emerge in North America in the last decade, Gamble Sands is growing—fast. Matchplay was asked to help the resort with a number of new and ambitious initiatives as they launched a new golf course and expanded occupancy of its inn.

01. Launch Strategy

Creating a Brand

Working in collaboration with resort management and ownership, Matchplay's researched and considered numerous names before landing on Scarecrow, which captures the legendary feel of David McLay Kidd's second course at Gamble Sands. Our creative team worked through numerous iterations to come up with a logo that engaged the essence of the name.

02. Web Design

Next level web presence

Gamble Sands management tasked Matchplay with creating a truly innovative website. Lead by Matchplay's in-house web development and design team, the new Gamble Sands website highlights the visual drama of the resort, using spectacularly bold video and photography. The new website coincided with the launch of Scarecrow, the second full-length course at the resort.

03. Communication

Connecting with customers

With an extensive digital reach, Gamble Sands wanted to connect with existing and prospective customers and tell the story of the resort's evolution. Matchplay created The Links Review, an overview of what's new at the facility, with some great behind-the-scenes storytelling. Visuals, writing, design, and editing were all led by the Matchplay team.
